About Me
My name is Mohammed Husseini. I’m currently an assistant professor of computer engineering at the American University of the Middle East (AUM) in Kuwait. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon in 2012. During my Ph.D. studies, I was the recipient of the Dar al Handasah Ph.D. Fellowship.
From 2012 to 2022, I was a co-founder and the research program director with Beirut Research and Innovation Center (BRIC) in Lebanon, and a lecturer with AUB from 2014 to 2022. Between September 2013 and January 2014, I was a visiting researcher with the University of New Mexico (UNM) in the US. I was also a research scholar with UNM from August 2009 till February 2011.
My research interests include material characterization, cognitive radio, antenna and RF circuits design, phased arrays, in addition to the application of machine learning in electromagnetics and communications. I have published 5 book chapters and more than 120 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
